Mercedes-Benz Unimog
The Unimog’s rubber road tyres operate on steel rails to generate high tractive and brake forces that enable it to easily and safely move heavy loads up to 1000t.
Its torque converter with semi-automatic gearbox ensures a smooth shunting service and it can be equipped with a railway wagon brake system. A range of coupling systems is available and the vehicle can be fitted with radio remote control for operation by a single driver.

Rotrac RR
For heavy shunting needs, up to 4000 t, the Rotrac RR is available in a range of sizes and capacities from Rotrac RR20 129kW, 2000 t at straight and flat track, gross vehicle weight of 20 t to the Rotrac RR40 360kW; 4000 t at straight and flat track, gross vehicle weight 40 t and a high performance air compressor for wagon brake systems. With heavy duty steel frame, water cooled Deutz engines and a range of track gauges, the Rotrac RR can track-on in less than 3 minutes and requires little track-on/off space.
